The Sustainability Hub embarked on an exploratory photography project asking participants to consider their relationship with biodiversity, circular economy, climate, or resilient communities by responding to one of the following prompts through photography:

• Biodiversity – What illustrates the connectivity of the natural world?
• Circular Economy – What illustrates alternatives to consumption and waste?
• Climate – What illustrates changes to our environment and atmosphere?
• Resilient Communities – What illustrates community strength?

After engaging in a workshop with award-winning photographer and filmmaker Marina Dodis, participating UBC students, staff, faculty, and community members shared their imagery for a pop-up photo exhibition in the atrium of the Centre for Interactive Research on Sustainability from March 21 to April 4. Photos prompted viewers to pause and reflect on the power of these themes as part of sustainability, every day.

Weren’t able to attend? See below a selection of images to from contributing photographers. Take a moment from your day to enjoy these stunning works from folks at UBC.
