Join UBC’s Student Sustainability Advisory Council 2024-2025! Give your feedback on sustainability projects, collaborate with other passionate students, and influence key programs.

We are excited to invite you to apply for the 2024-2025 Student Sustainability Advisory Council (SSAC) at UBC! This council offers a unique opportunity for passionate students to contribute directly to UBC’s sustainability and climate initiatives by engaging in meaningful dialogue, collaboration, and decision-making.

Why Join the SSAC?
The SSAC serves as a key platform for student voices to be heard by UBC’s Sustainability Hub and Climate Hub. As a council member, you will have the chance to:

  • Provide feedback on sustainability and climate-related projects.

  • Collaborate with like-minded students from across campus.

  • Initiate and influence key programs within UBC’s Climate Hub.

Meeting Structure & Commitment:

  • Monthly meetings are held on the last Thursday of each month from 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm, with lunch provided.

  • The council term runs from September to April, with opportunities to reapply for future terms.

  • All members are expected to attend meetings or designate a representative if unable to attend.

How to Apply:
We encourage student groups to nominate a representative for the SSAC. Applications are open until October 18th, and you can apply by filling out the following form:
