Interested in learning how to strengthen your community’s resilience to protect against climate emergency events like extreme snow or an ice storm?

At this workshop, the Dunbar Residents’ Association, Kitsilano Neighbourhood House and the Westside Seniors Hub invite all community organizations and community members from the Westside to work together with UBC students to strengthen their community resilience through asset mapping.

Community asset mapping involves identifying physical and social elements that act as tools for addressing the climate emergency, including things like libraries, schools, churches and emergency contacts. Using these assets, participants will develop a plan to address future climate shocks, and get to test it out during the workshop.
