Wed, May 15, 2019 8:00 AM - 9:30 AM UBC Botanical Garden. Adult $12, Concession $10 (Garden Members, UNA Residents, Youth (13-17), Seniors (65+), UBC Students | Staff | Faculty. Valid ID card required.). It’s Vancouver Bird Week and a tour is flying into town! Join us for an introductory bird tour at UBC Botanical Garden as we search for exciting birds and listen for their melodious calls. This event is great for beginner birders and will focus on identifying common birds of UBC Botanical Garden and the Vancouver Area. Highlights will include:

• Tips for how to identify bird families
• Different habitats where various birds are found
• How to create bird-friendly habitats around your home

About the Guides: The tour will be led by our Friends of the Garden (FOGS) volunteers and bird enthusiasts.

Notes: This walking tour will take place outdoors and will proceed rain or shine. Please dress for the weather including footwear for all terrains. Bring your binoculars for a closer look at birds. Free Visitor Parking for 3 hours, provided you enter your license plate at the meter. Tour pricing includes free admission to the Garden so plan on staying after the tour if you would like to explore. Greenheart TreeWalk is an additional admission fee.

Cancellation Policies: A $5.00 processing fee per attendee is charged if cancellation notice is less than 7 days prior to your scheduled program. There is no fee for transferring the registration to another person. Cancellations can be made by contacting garden.programs@ubc.ca. In the event that a program is cancelled by UBC.
