Philippe Le Billon is Professor at the Department of Geography of the University of British Columbia. He is the author of Wars of Plunder: Conflicts, Profits and the Politics of Resources (Oxford University Press, 2014)

Invited speakers present the latest research in a wide range of disciplines related to freshwater systems, the oceans and fisheries. These seminars draw a diverse audience, leading to thought-provoking discussions and a sharing of new ideas and perspectives.
