Join us to celebrate Earth Day with an informative walking tour as we explore climate change in the Pacific Northwest. Discover what’s in season in your Pacific Northwest backyard. Enjoy a guided walk from the UNA Community Barn to the UBC campus Botanical Garden is a great place for walking and discovering explore how climate change is expected to impact local ecosystems.  

Date & Time: Wednesday April 22 2015, 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm
Tour Guide: Dr. Tara Moreau, Associate Director Sustainability and Community Programs
Location: Meet at the UNA Old Barn and take a guided walk to the UBC Botanical Garden
Cost: $6.30 members, UBC students & UNA; $7 public. Plus applicable taxes and fees.

Your tour guide will be Dr. Tara Moreau is Associate Director, Sustainability and Community Programs at the UBC Botanical Garden. She is also co-chair of the SPEC Food Committee and founder of the SPEC Urban Farmer Field School. She holds a PhD in plant science from UBC and was a postdoctoral fellow with the Pacific Institute for Climate Solutions. Tara is a consultant with the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization and serves at the Co-Chair of the Vancouver Food Policy Council.
