Wed, April 15, 2015 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM See description. FREE. The First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) announced the selection of Dr. Evan Adams as Chief Medical Officer this past December. As CMO, Dr. Adams, Tla’amin (Sliammon) First Nation will lead a team of FNHA physicians, health and wellness professionals. Evan will provide clinical direction and leadership on behalf of the FNHA to key stakeholders including: professional regulatory bodies, health authorities, federal, provincial & international government departments, educational bodies, physician organizations and others. This session will provide an opportunity for community to hear from our CMO and how he plans to support community in this new and exciting role.

The focus of the FNHA is on First Nations health and wellness and to create and shape a unique health care model that is the first of its kind in Canada. Adams is a major contributor to the continued transformation of health care and improving access and quality of health care services while responding to the wellness directives provided by First Nations communities.
