Wed, October 12, 2016 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM PONDEROSA CENTRE. Ticketed more details to come. Save the date! On January 26th 2017, the Centre for Sustainable Food Systems Symposium will celebrate the involvement of UBC students with food sustainability research, education, and community engagement. This one-day event brings together students, faculty, and staff to join in on a dialogue about what it takes to create and manage a just and sustainable food system. The Symposium’s interactive presentation and activity style encourages attendees to connect and challenge themselves, ultimately providing a new venue for growth and learning for the UBC community.

Join us for a dynamic day of dialogue and activities to learn your community’s work and learning towards food literacy and food system sustainability education, indigenous food sovereignty, how agroecological innovations can (or cannot) feed the world, and the relationships between local and global agricultural land practices.

We are in the process of securing our speakers, so stay tuned for more details. We will be opening ticket sales early November.
