Sustainability Film and Research Series

March 7th to March 9th 2018  

Centre for Interactive Research on Sustainability (CIRS).

The Series brings together students, staff, researchers and speakers from various fields to engage in an interdisciplinary exploration of sustainability. The symposium will be a space for gaining information, growing knowledge, building connections and expanding conversations. By the end of the event we hope to have engaged the UBC community in sustainability.

The three-day event is divided into the three pillars of sustainability: economical, societal and environmental. Each day will feature films and speakers accordingly.

  • Q&A for researchers and films
  • Refreshments
  • Networking opportunities

Call for Speakers

Speaker positions are open to post-doctorate and graduate students engaged in social, economic, and environmental sustainability related research. Each speaker will have 10 minutes to present and is free to use a powerpoint presentation or not.

Participation is low involvement and offers students the opportunity of sharing their research with the wider UBC community. making interdisciplinary connections, and inspiring the audience with the innovations happening in their field of study.
