Fri, March 27, 2015 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM GEOGRAPHY BUILDING. Please join us this Friday, March 27 from 3 to 6 pm for an event entitled "Climate Change: Science, Policies and Politics" in Geography 100 that will bring together scientists and candidates in the next federal election. It will be followed by a wine and appetizer reception from 6 to 7 pm in the Ideas Lounge.

This event is sponsored by the Sustainable Canada Dialogues, the pan-Canadian group of over 60 scholars that launched the report "Acting on Climate Change: Solutions from Canadian Scholars" in Montreal last week. I was in Montreal for our launch, and we received a tremendous reception. You can download our summary and full report here (http://www.sustainablecanadadialogues.ca/en/endorsement). It is also sponsored by the PWIAS, the UBCC350.org student chapter of 350.org, and UBC's Sustainability Initiative. The first panel includes Sally Otto, an SCD member.
