Interdisciplinary teams of undergraduate students selected from diverse faculties and disciplines advance a faculty-led sustainability project for course credit.
Overview
InSPIRE is a new for-credit learning experience managed by the Sustainability Hub. Running as a pilot in the 2026/2027 academic year, faculty member-led InSPIRE projects will be completed by interdisciplinary teams of three to five undergraduate students who will each earn course credit.
Faculty members propose impactful projects that address a sustainability challenge and can be completed by a team of undergraduates in one term.
Student teams are assembled to complete the project collaboratively, supported throughout the term by professional development workshops organized by the Sustainability Hub. A final project showcase at the end of term provides an opportunity for teams to share their results with other participating students and faculty members.
