This report presents the findings of a design study exploring how ecological corridors can be achieved using road space reallocation. Envisioned as linear, park-like streets, ecological corridors integrate blue-green infrastructure, diverse vegetation, high tree canopies, and spaces for active travel and nature engagement. The report outlines key principles to inform ecological corridor design and demonstrates them using a hypothetical concept design for Nootka Street.
