The economics of real estate markets. Topics include real estate cycles and bubbles, search models and vacancy, the relationship between real estate and the economy, housing demand, and models of housing supply. Prerequisite: One of COMM_V 295, ECON_V 201, ECON_V 301.

Quantitative and qualitative evaluation of public policies and corporate strategies using statistical evaluation methods, cost benefit analysis, and other modelling tools, with a focus on the impacts of climate change on operations and vice versa. Industries including service provision, manufacturing, and infrastructure investment are assessed based on pricing, operating costs, emissions, and other environmental and societal impacts. Prerequisite: COMM_V 204.

Legal principles and concepts relating to real estate and land development. Prerequisite: COMM_V 393

The characteristics of shipping services and the role of shipping services in the design and management of international logistics systems. This course is not eligible for Credit/D/Fail grading.

Role of marketing in creating social value. Integration of marketing fundamentals with core social, environmental, and economic principles of sustainability. Global overview of ecological restoration, examining perspectives and practices in diverse ecosystems worldwide. Causes of degradation, motivations for restoration (including cultural underpinnings), restoration objectives (biodiversity, ecosystem function, ecosystem services), restoration practices (and their evolution over time), challenges and lessons learnt.
