The Sustainability Scholars Program offers several events throughout the year. These events are intended to provide information about the Program, support students interested in applying to the Program, and to share the incredible work produced by the Scholars.
Information sessions
Attend an upcoming information session to learn more about the summer Sustainability Scholars program and how to apply. At the January 14 event, attendees will also have an opportunity to hear from former program participants about what you can expect as a Scholar and the benefits of participating in the program in terms of skills development and job prospects.

Resumes, Cover Letters & Best Practices: Refining Your Scholars Application
This workshop will support prospective Sustainability Scholars to craft a strong application to the program.
Rebecca Dirnfeld, a career educator at UBC who specializes in supporting Masters and PhD students, will provide strategies and advice for developing a strong resume and cover letter. Karen Taylor, Manager of the Sustainability Scholars Program, will provide her perspective on the application and selection process, as well as common dos and don’ts.
Students who plan to apply to the Sustainability Scholars Program are encouraged to attend.
