Sign up to be a part of the Zero Waste Squad today and help us reach our zero waste goals.

The Zero Waste Squad program is a joint peer-led volunteer program open to UBC students brought to you by UBC Sustainability, AMS Sustainability and Common Energy UBC. Get involved today and help UBC become a zero waste campus!

Why be a Zero Waste Volunteer?

UBC has committed to greatly reducing the amount of waste it sends to the landfill through ambitious reduction targets. But to achieve these goals, we need your involvement! The Zero Waste Squad can make a difference by educating the campus community about recycling and composting, and helping reduce waste from events. By engaging your fellow students you can reduce the amount of garbage that goes to the landfill.
