Sustainability Film Symposium

March 7, 14, and 28, 2018  

Build connections and deepen your knowledge of the world. This Symposium brings together students, staff, researchers, and speakers from various fields to engage in an interdisciplinary exploration of sustainability.

The three-day event is divided into the three pillars of sustainability: economical, societal and environmental. Each day will feature films and speakers accordingly.

    A coming of age story about a young First Nations law student and emerging leader from northeast BC, epicenter of some of the worlds largest fracking operations.

    How can business be used to create value beyond profit through an innovative framework and conscious capitalism that prioritizes positive social impact above shareholder profits?

    Just Eat It
    Date: March 28th 5:00-7:30pm
    Location: BC Hydro Theatre, CIRS
    Filmmakers and food lovers, Jen and Grant dive into the issue of waste and pledge to quit grocery shopping cold turkey and survive only on foods that would otherwise be thrown away.
