The need to decouple economic activities from environmental degradation has resulted in the rapid growth of the impact assessment market. Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) is the leading scientific impact assessment methodology used to develop quantified information on the environmental impacts of products and services over their life cycle. Topics covered include theory, standards, applications, limitations and interpretations of LCA. Learn to carry out and review environmental impact assessment studies from a critical, science-based perspective. While designed for generalists in sustainability coordination and management, this course is also of benefit to scientists and engineers.
