The British Columbia Interior University Research Coalition is a partnership between the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) in Prince George, Thompson Rivers University (TRU) in Kamloops, and the University of British Columbia's Okanagan campus in Kelowna.

Researchers and Deans from all three universities are invited to attend the Interior Universities Research Coalition's first annual research symposium, hosted by UBC Okanagan in partnership with Thompson Rivers University (TRU) and the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC). The IURC's first annual research symposium will:

- provide an opportunity for researchers across the three campuses to connect;
- introduce collaborative funding opportunities and possible research team building; and
- build a collaborative research community across the three campuses.
