UBC houses more than 10,000 students in 13 residential complexes. As a student living on campus, there are many ways you can get involved in sustainability in your residence. From leadership opportunities to integrating green lifestyle choices into your daily activities, living sustainably on campus can be both fun, and easy.

Totem and Vanier’s sustainability committees organize engaging events and activities to promote a range of ecological and social sustainability topics in residence, such as:
- Reducing water
- Waste and energy use
- Making sustainable food choices
- Using green cleaning products, and
- Recycling and composting
