Sustainability Education Fellowships are awarded to UBC Vancouver faculty members who are leading the design of new sustainability courses and programs. The associated funding looks to advance and diversify sustainability and wellbeing education opportunities for students across campus in all disciplines. The deadline to apply is May 13, 2024.

How It Works
Fellows receive a grant of up to $20,000 over two years, to support their curriculum development projects. As part of the program, they meet monthly to share and explore teaching and learning practices and ideas, share their progress on their curriculum projects, and collaborate to advance sustainability education on campus.

Current Sustainability Fellows
Our 2023-2024 cohort consists of 11 faculty members from 8 different schools or departments and 6 different faculties across UBC, who are working in interdisciplinary pairs on 6 curriculum projects.
Alumni
Since 2010, UBC’s Sustainability Hub has supported over 70 Sustainability Fellows from 8 Faculties and over 30 departments and schools, many over multiple years.
