The Centre for Community Engaged Learning collaborates with students, staff, faculty, and community partners to work through complex community-based issues, both locally and internationally. Programs offered through the Centre are aimed at fostering principles of community-based experiential learning. This pedagogical practice provides students with opportunities to apply their academic knowledge to real-world issues.
These programs place students in community settings, either as a required part of an academic course, or through voluntary co-curricular placements like Trek, Reading Week and International Service Learning for a hands-on, immersive experience.
Resources and support are provided to instructors, departments, and faculties, to enhance teaching and learning processes.
