What is the purpose of the Water Wise campaign?

The purpose of this campaign is to raise awareness of the sustainable choices students in UBC residences can make. When students work together to be Water Wise they will make a big impact in reducing UBC’s water and energy consumption.

What are the long-term goals of this campaign?

The Water Wise campaign aims to support UBC’s long term Climate Action Plan to achieve net zero GHG emissions by 2050. This is a great opportunity for students living in residence to get involved and help UBC reach its goals by taking shorter showers.

How will this campaign measure energy and water savings?

UBC residence buildings contain energy and water metering, which will be used to help determine overall savings as the result of student efforts in this campaign.

Who are the Sustainability Champions?

The Sustainability Champions are student volunteers that support the Sustainability in Residence program.
