Do you want to be an effective agent of change towards a sustainable future? This course explores an emerging new discipline in strategic sustainability leadership. The first theme, strategic sustainable development, is based on a logical approach to strategic planning and decision-making and generates clarity of purpose by drawing from basic sustainability science and human needs. The second theme, transformational leadership, focuses on creating the right conditions for sustainability initiatives and innovation. Gain an overview of key concepts as well as practical, hands-on learning experiences that will be helpful for emerging leaders in any organizational setting.
Prerequisite: Introduction to Sustainability: From Origins to Applications (IS600).
