FUTURE FORESTRY LEADERS SYMPOSIUM UBC Faculty of Forestry and University of Washington School of Environment & Forest Sciences are pleased to invite the UBC community to a graduate student research symposium on February 24/25, 2012 to recognize the conclusion of the UN International Year of the Forests (Feb 2011 - Feb 2012). The Symposium will highlight much of the excellent research conducted both in Canada and the United States and is an excellent networking opportunity for students interested in research with international impact. An emphasis is added to recognize the growing importance of indigenous peoples and forests, but presentations and posters include a broad range of topics and issues to reflect the breadth of research activities at UBC and UW: - Forests and environment - Products and technology - Markets and policy Everyone is welcome to attend - come and meet the problem solvers of the future!
