Wed, October 24, 2012 6:15 PM - 8:15 PM See description. Free. Italy of the Future
A documentary by Alberto Angela
This fascinating documentary illustrates Italy’s major recent achievements in the field of science and technology, achievements that will have significant consequences at a global level in the years to come – like the iCub robot (in the picture), who is capable of learning from experience. Filmed in the beautiful setting of Rome’s Centrale Montemartini - the new exhibition space for the Musei Capitolini, in the former “Giovanni Montemartini Thermoelectric Centre”, an extraordinary example of industrial archaeology converted into a museum -, the documentary is presented by Alberto Angela and features an exceptional soundtrack by Giovanni Allevi.

This event is organized in collaboration with ARPICO, the Society of Italian Researchers and Professionals in Western Canada; representatives of ARPICO will provide an introduction to the video and a closing note describing the Italy-Canada knowledge in motion project.

A cocktail reception will follow
