UBC is developing a Water Action Plan to build on our water conservation achievements to date and guide the University’s water management activities in the future. The Plan will outline actions, strategies and targets to realize our vision of establishing a campus-wide closed loop water system at UBC.
Public consultations were held in 2011 to inform the development of the plan.
Five key priorities were identified for water management at UBC, including:
The input received from the campus community, along with a water audit of seven UBC buildings, is being used to inform the draft Water Action Plan. The final plan will be complete in 2013.
