The Research and Partnerships office within the UBC Sustainability Initiative supports UBC’s expansive innovation-focused research initiatives. The office aims to accelerate innovation by leveraging research, operations and private, public and/or non-governmental organization sectors to accelerate sustainability at UBC. The result is faster times to market for firms, enhanced research opportunities for researchers, and more efficient operation of UBC.
To expand UBC’s sustainability research avenues, the office is creating Sustainability Research Fellows positions and enhancing its existing interdisciplinary research projects. The Research and Partnerships office is also developing opportunities for networking, partnership building, and shared learning through sustainability research-related events and symposia.
